Who we are and how you can contact us

ALTIUM INTERNATIONAL LABORATUVAR CİHAZLARI ANONİM ŞİRKETİ (“Altium Turkey” or “we”, “us”, our “our”) as the webinar organizer and data controller will use your registration information to communicate with you about this webinar and inform you about our other events, goods, and/or services. You will have an option to unsubscribe in every communication.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures for protecting personal data from misuse or accidental, unlawful, or unauthorized destruction, loss, modification, disclosure, acquisition, or access, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations and accepted data privacy and security technical standards

What information we will process about you

We will process your personal data that you submit to us via the registration form.

Your registration information and any comments or feedback you provide to us during the webinar will be captured if the webinar is (video) recorded, which may include your name (or nickname), image, and/or voice and other information you disclose during the webinar.

What is the legal basis for the processing of your personal data?

We are collecting and will be processing your registration information based on one of the following legal bases envisaged in Section 6 Paragraph 1 of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), as applicable:

  1. conclusion and performance of the contract with you to provide you this webinar (Point (b));
  2. fulfillment of our legal obligations (Point (c)). Such Processing may be necessary on the basis of applicable legal regulations, e.g., accounting, bookkeeping, and/or tax law, commercial law, anti-money laundering laws and regulations, and so on, including in connection with supervision carried out by competent governmental authorities;
  3. achieving legitimate interests of Altium Turkey or third parties (Point (f)), e.g. exercising due diligence in selection of our business partners, conduct of business and management of client relations, protection of persons and assets, providing information on our goods and/or services, and the like;
  4. exceptionally, when required by law, your consent (Point a)). You may withdraw your consent at any time. However, such withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the consent withdrawal.

What are our purposes of the processing of your personal data?

We may process your personal data for the following purposes:

  1. carrying out necessary activities by our business units to provide you with the offered products and services and to execute related business processes;
  2. planning and execution of sales processes of products and services;
  3. planning and execution of customer relationship management processes;
  4. conducting studies for customer satisfaction;
  5. tracking of contract processes and legal claims;
  6. execution of after-sales support services;
  7. collecting and evaluating complaints and suggestions, if any, for improving our service quality as a company, and conducting communication activities accordingly;
  8. planning and executing promotional, marketing, and/or advertising activities, processes, and/or campaigns for our products and services, including sending your commercial electronic messages such as advertisements, promotions, etc. to the contact information you provided via the webinar registration form;
  9. conducting profiling and analysis activities, customizing products and services according to your preferences, usage habits, and needs;
  10. conducting activities in compliance with the legislation;
  11. execution of finance and accounting processes;
  12. execution of logistic activities;
  13. execution of emergency management processes;
  14. execution of information security processes;
  15. providing information to authorized persons, institutions, and organizations.

Whom we may share your personal data with

On a need-to-know basis, we may share your registration information with our employees and/or partners (service providers) who will help us organize and hold this webinar as our data processors.

We may also share your personal data with our business partners who process personal data in their capacity as data controllers within the scope of the services provided by them to us or by us to them, or with whom we otherwise do business, such as banks, auditors, tax consultants, legal counsel, etc.

If you gave us consent when registering for this webinar, we may share your registration information with other Altium Group member companies and/or our partner named in the registration form with whom we are organizing this webinar.

Altium Turkey as well as some of the recipients referred to in this section are located in countries outside the European Economic Area, which are not considered to ensure an adequate level of personal data protection in terms of the GDPR. Altium Turkey will process your personal data based on the appropriate derogation provided for in Article 49 GDPR, primarily because (i) the transfer is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and us or the implementation of pre-contractual measures taken at your request; or (ii) you gave us explicit consent to the proposed transfer; etc. In case of transferring your personal data to such recipients, we will require them to ensure adequate level of protection by means of contractual and other mechanisms set out in the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission, etc.

How long do we keep your personal data? What criteria we use to determine data retention periods?

We will process your personal data:

  1. for the periods prescribed by law, for instance, the applicable accounting, tax, and other laws and regulations; or
  2. if personal data retention periods are not prescribed by law, we will process the data for the time necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data has been collected, unless you request your data destruction, in accordance with your rights described in the following section; whereas,
  3. we may retain certain personal data, or supporting documentation containing such personal data, for the applicable period of the statutory limits of limitation, for evidentiary purposes in case of potential subsequent objections, disputes, litigation or other legal proceedings.

What rights you have in connection with the processing of your personal data

You have the right to request from us as the controller access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data or restriction of processing concerning you as the data subject or to object to processing as well as the right to data portability (if applicable). If you gave us consent for the processing, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

If you want to exercise any of your rights or if you have any other questions, remarks, or requests about our processing of your personal data, kindly approach us via the contact information provided in the first section of this notice. We will reply no later than within one month from the date of receipt of your request or query and will inform you about the actions taken or reasons for which we are unable to comply with your request. In case of numerous requests or due to the complexity of your request, we may extend the response deadline for additional two months and will inform you about the reasons for such extension. If your request is evidently unjustified or excessive, including in the event of frequent requests, we may charge a reasonable fee due to administrative costs or we may refuse to comply with such a request.
